FENESTRON® TAIL ROTOR
The Fenestron® is a shrouded tail rotor unique to many Airbus Helicopters. It improves safety by shielding the tail rotor from external contact. The design also enhances aerodynamic efficiency, reducing noise levels and contributing to a quieter overall flight profile. The enclosed structure also improves tail rotor authority, especially in crosswinds and confined landing sites.

5 BLADE MAIN ROTOR
The new five-blade main rotor replaces the previous four-blade design. It offers increased useful load—about 150 kg (330 lbs) more. The new design improves ride comfort by reducing vibrations, especially at high speeds or in demanding flight conditions. The rotor system is simplified, featuring a bearingless design.
